It's that time again!
Dear Friends,
Weโre excited to say the Fall Friday season is officially here! Grab a mug of hot cider, pull on your flannel, and settle by the bonfire. Wondering how you got on our email list or what Fall Friday is? Skip the first, weโre just glad youโre here. As for the second, weโre glad you askedโฆ
Several years ago, after letting an entire autumn slip by without doing a single "fall thing," we realized how easy it is to get caught in the busyness of life. The season passed in a blur... no new fall core memories, no traditions, just the grind of days. Out of that realization, Fall Friday was born.
From the first Friday of September through the end of November, we began carving out space each week to pause, to celebrate, and to savor the rhythm of autumn. What started in our home as a way to keep fall from slipping away has grown into something bigger. Now, years later, friends ask about it, join us, and look forward to it just as much as we do.
While we do occasionally host, most Fall Fridays are just us and the pups. Itโs a simple rhythm you can make your own: a playlist, something simmering, one small ritual that becomes a seasonal memory. If you ever want to join in, just reach out, weโd love that.
Flannel. Crockpots. Candles. Movies. Leaves. Real moments. Simple fall traditions.
For us, Fall Friday is more than just a seasonal phrase, itโs tradition. Itโs about creating core memories by being present in the moment. Traditions matter. They ground us, bring us closer, and build community. Itโs choosing connection over distraction, memory-making over busyness, and presence over passivity.
Itโs our way of honoring the season - together.
Gather what's simple and let it become tradition.
The calendar unfolds like the leaves, don't miss this moment to create a new core memory for you and the loved ones in your life.
Curated playlists from your morning's first-mug to golden-hour walks, press play and let the season linger.

Our favorite autumn recipes made with slow heat, soft spices, and plates made for sharing.
A cozy, gently spicy bowl layered with tender shredded chicken, beans, corn, and jalapeรฑos, finished silky with cream cheese and a splash of cream. Ladle into warm bowls and top with tortilla chips, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
Full Recipe โSlow-roasted chuck roast that falls apart at the touch, nestled with onions and carrots in a rich, herb-forward gravy. Serve with buttery mash and let the savory juices do the talking.
Full Recipe โSweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and smoky sausage tossed in a maple-Dijon glaze that caramelizes to glossy perfection, weeknight-easy, crowd-pleasing, and wonderfully autumnal.

Just in case you're wondering one of the followingโฆ
Not exactly. Fall Friday is a simple weekly rhythm you can bring into your own home: playlist on, something simmering, one small tradition, a cozy watch. We do host friends some weeks; if you'd like to hang out, reach out and we'll see if it lines up.
Absolutely, and please do. Fall Friday is about community and sharing traditions; the more the merrier. You can email your suggestions to rachel@colonycreative.com. We love weaving community favorites into Fall Friday (credit where possible).
Comfy sweaters and beanies are in the works. Limited drops will appear here first, watch the calendar for release dates.
Absolutely. Crafts, events, attire, decor, printables, and at-home projects are coming soon. We'll roll them out as the season unfolds on the calendar. We are big fans of scaling smallโข and just wanted to get this out there for friends/family.
That's okay, the goal isn't perfection but is to not let the season pass by without creating some core memories for you and your loved ones. Life is short so even doing one simple item like a fall playlist + warm mug + a 20-minute lantern walk. Traditions stick when they're small and repeatable. Those are the things we remember in life.
We're ready for Fall Friday but an email list... not quite. We will start sending email updates soon. In the meantime, thank you for your interest. You can sign up with the form below if you are interested!
Keep it simple and repeatable: pick your Friday time, start the playlist, light a candle, set a crockpot by noon, add one small ritual (lantern walk, leaf press, handwritten note), then end with a film. Consistency over complexity.

We were together, I forget the rest.
